  I don't know if it was just a bad day, or if it was because we were the first customers to come in for the day, but the food was mediocre. It was my first time, but to be honest, the food was pretty bad. I ordered the special $14 fish and chips with a soup special and I had high expectations for it after reading previous reviews. Everything I ordered, including the soup, was cold. Absolutely cold, not even warm. The fish batter was pretty good, as the oil it was fried with fragrant oil. The fish meat itself was okay, flaky, delicate, juicy, and moist.The fries were absolutely terrible, soggy, soaked in oil, and were bland. The red clam chowder was okay as well, with no significant flavor and was watery too. Another thing I ordered, the scallop and shrimp combo was okay, as the scallops and shrimp were pretty tender and crispy on the outside, so I have nothing bad to say about that. So all in all, the two stars I gave this place was because of the okay food and the friendly staff. It doesn't look like we'll be coming back another time.

  Awesome fish and chips!! The best in Rhode island and probably anywhere else around. Been coming here over 20yrs and good has been the same ever since. Always fresh and hot. Chips (French fries) are hand cut and awesome. True fish and chips wrapped in newspaper. Awesome prices and even more awesome food. Strictly a fish and chips place, with a few other sea food selections.
